About
Kingston Park Raceway is Australia's premier karting facility and the home of a brand new fleet of Sodi SR5 Race Karts. There are 2 tracks operating at present and over 60 karts on track. All Bookings are now offered on line via the website at www.kingstonpark.com.au The kids will enjoy the brand new iPlay arcade centre where they can win some great prizes. Our fabulous Pit Stop Cafe has a great menu and is the perfect rest brake for drinks and refreshments. We look forward to seeing you track side soon.

Excellent staff, New karts have come together better than expected. Have been attending KPR for many years and have never been disappointed. The hygiene measures that are in place are great. Hope to continue going there for many more years.

We had 3 kids attend for my son's 11th birthday and we purchased the $60 Gold Challenge tickets (3 hours). We were confused about what to do 1st. The signs said attend kiosk 1st but were then told to go register first. We then again had to wait for a while as there was only 1 staff member handling the ticket sales and kiosk, she was run off her feet. It then took 30-40 mins to set them up on the karts. They only went on twice, even though entitled to 3, because they got sick of waiting. There were also not enough staff located at the amusement section and we wasted approx half an hour waiting for staff to let them on the rides. It was impossible to do the 3 kart rides, 3 simulator rides, amusement rides, giant slide, jumping castle and 9 hole mini golf. The tickets should have been for 4 hours not 3.

Kingston Park was and is a great day for the kids. The staff are professional and thankfully "forgiving" for those who simply cannot drive...lol..The party host was lovely and timed everything wonderfully. We could not have asked more of them, they all did a great job. Highly recommended for a hell of a day out !!

First of all, let me say that I've visited Kingston Park Raceway on several occasions over the years and in terms of the Go-Karting - it's great.
However, we recently purchased tickets to go Karting and due to unforeseen circumstances needed to cancel. When I rang up to do this a number of days beforehand I was told that there are no refunds issued with less than 7 days notice. My only option at this point was to either forfeit the full cost of both tickets or pay $25 per ticket to re-schedule our event.
Now I realise administration will probably respond to this review by saying that their refund policy is clearly outlined on their website under the terms and conditions of purchasing tickets. And this is true. However, this doesn't change the fact that their refund/cancellation policy seems to be unnecessarily harsh.
With several days notice I'm sure cancelling our event of 2 people Karting would not have cost them any business. So why no refund?
So, if you choose to go Karting here just hope you don't have to cancel.

Thankyou for your comments on the cancellation policy. Obviously during the Covid period of uncertainty the park is operating with half staff and at half of usual capacity so please understand that every sale is extremely important.
We have limited inventory (rides) available and it is not easy to resell tickets with short notice of cancellations. Just like a concert we are selling you tickets to an exact date and time for your go karting. It is an extremely efficient process that has you go karting on time as promised and it has been popular with all guests at the raceway.
We clearly state the terms on the website but we also send you a detailed letter via email that explains the refund and cancelation policy in plain simple English. This is the same process that plains , trains and many business use in these difficult times and the rescheduling fee is always there if you are unable to attend, resell or gift the tickets to a friend.

On arrival it was quiet disorganised going back and forth with our booking that had been organised pre arrival. Pit stop staff were very helpful and friendly. Counter staff were very rude and abrupt - seemed disgruntled at our genuine enquiries. Requested I play card for the arcade, once again had sub par customer service. Put money into pool table which was broken with no sign asked team member for assistance she gave one worded answers like we were inconveniencing her by being their. Once another team member came out to retrieve our money she didn’t think it was a good idea to put an out of order sign on table after stating it was broken. No worries incident will happen again tomorrow. Upon leaving the complex went to buy a medallion realised it was a 2020 model asked why this is she stated “we’ve been giving everyone this year those” when I asked for a refund she said that cannot be processed very strange systems but anyhooo then she magically looked out the back and found a 2021 medallion. Go karting was fun however the customer service for that day was woeful.

This company is very rude, even the Director. They don't know or care about customer service. They over book, don't advise that you'll be waiting all day for a 10 min ride. When you ask for a refund they laugh at you, no refunds. When you complain they ban you for life.

Went there for a work christmas party. They booked all different groups on the same night, had over booked, were disorganised to the point that the staff didn't even seem to know what was meant to be happening (comments between themselves that we could all hear, such as "are we meant to be serving this?"). Dinner was scheduled at 7:30pm - 8:15pm. We all were in line at 7:30pm. Dinner didn't start until 8:10pm. So that was 40 minutes waiting in line! And it wasn't worth waiting for. Soggy saturated coleslaw, half-cooked rice in salad, a garden salad and over cooked roast meats. We were served rather measley portions and when one of our party commented on the size, she was told "we don't have that much and it has to go around". So in other words, they overbooked on the people (therefore gaining the most money) and under catered (therefore minimsing overheads). We waited soooo long in line to get a chance to race because there were too many people. In our races, we had the staff of kingston park racing with us, which was unfair to everyone waiting in line behind us and they acted like jerks on the track, running into us and the tyre barriers with no regard to the rules, that obviously didn't apply to them, but would have to us, had we behaved the same. This was after we all watched the safety video and had been warned that we would be kicked off the track for dangerous behaviour. What a joke, their own staff have no regard for OHS. Only time they seem to enforce the safety rules was with one of our party who had long hair and had to put a suit on to be allowed to race, however all the other people with long hair were allowed without a suit or hoodie. Hmm, double standards much? I felt sorry for the band, who were the most competent people on the premises. The event co-ordinator of this venue has a lot to answer for, I doubt she has even been there on a function night. I really hope all the companies got some special deal and didn't pay through the nose for this night of disappointments.

Took kids go-karting and checked prices online before arriving. However didn't take into account the sneaky add-ins like membership and tax plus a race suit for girls with long hair. In end $35 was more like $48. Feel ripped off

The points you raised are all clearly dealt with in our signage and terms and conditions on the web site but none of that matters if we have let you down. I visited Kingston Park Raceway last month and was not a happy camper. Let me start by saying I have been to this venue many many times before all of which I have enjoyed myself however this time is a totally different story. When we arrived we were greeted at the sign up counter by a lady who was extremely rude and had no customer service skills what so ever. She proceeded to charge us the ridiculously expensive prices that you charge.
She failed to mention the next "PUBLIC" race wasn't for 2 hours. We waited it out, went on our 10 minute race and then waited another 1.5 hrs for second race to start as they let all the bucks parties and birthday parties have priority over the "PUBLIC".
Being the owner of my own Tourism Business on the Gold Coast (which mind you no discount was given for) I am appalled with your prices, customer service and general lack of care for those people that locals and return customers.
You even sting people by having them pay a $5 sign up fee if they haven't been in over a year! That's just ripping people off especially those who have been many times before!
I will not be returning and neither will the 4 people I was with.

I have been returned to kingston park many times hoping for better customer service but it only gets worse.
1st time there I our group was put on the track with some staff and friends of staff. The staff were overly agreesive and rammed all of us. When we rammed back they picked a fight with us after the race.
2nd time there my friend got 3rd degree burns on his back from the motor. He missed 2 sessions. Kingston Park would not refund him for the missed sessions but offered to send him a voucher in the mail which he never received.
3rd time there we arrived on time and were asked by staff to get together for a group photo just before our race. We questioned this as our group had just been called to race but the staff member said we had time. Subsequently we missed the first race and were told by to staff that it was our fault for not being there on time.

Hi Justin, We are concerned about your comments because we always make a huge effort to ensure our guests have one hell of a day out at the raceway. So we looked back at the review and can advise the following:
We were not going to respond but the risk of fictitious comments becoming folk law due to our inaction prompted us to comment. The readers are welcome to make up their own minds based on the balanced response now public.
Staff and Guests never race together, our staff are way too busy to be racing karts so that would be an impossibility and would never occur.
Drivers can't burn them selves through a kart seat, it just doesn't happen. People have driven karts for hundreds of years and I don't know of any one with a burn through a seat.
Group pictures are taken at the end of all adult events on the podium of the winners we don't take pictures of a group before we know the winner so I am at a loss as to why you say this happen..
Justin, There are lots of rules required to keep the raceway safe and it would appear that you may of been on the wrong side of the black flag a few times, but you obviously love to race so why don't you come in and see us so we can make sure you have a great day on your next visit.

I am in two minds about what go karts will be suitable for my son's 10th birthday party. Some are 10 and some are 9 but his son's are all over 1.20m tall.
Just wondering whether the rookie karts will be 'fun' enough for them, but not sure if the 10+ are too big and not suitable.
I'd appreciate your comments. Many thanks

Hi Caryn, there is fair difference between the rookie karts and the formula karts as these are real karts.
