Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really looked forward to playing this course. Course layout really good but in such a poor condition. Looks like they do not have any green staff. Bunkers full of weeds or stagnant water. Real shame but no money being spent on the upkeep of the course. Golf cart full of old bottles , no bar or catering facilities available. Real shame because a lovely course layout.

What a disappointing facility. It was one of the best courses on the coast and still has a really good layout. The management of the place has let it become a poor memory. The clubhouse is filthy and falling apart, covered in weeds and dirt, and not a place any event should think of as a venue.

The bunkers are atrocious, irrigation systems broken, greens that were redone just a few years ago are springing couch grass and are poor. Many bunkers are out of play and have been for years. Tree roots are everywhere and a real hazard for playing shots.

The short of it is that the current management just does not care. The staff though are friendly but demoralized with this place and it shows.

Avoid it until a new owner takes over and spends a few million renovating it.

As a former member of this once magnificent golf course and club house including the gardens proud of azaleas and rotadendrums I was staggered and extremely disappointed to return to find the place in such a terrible state and now unworthy of any game of golf such is the current state of this course now under Chinese ownership.
The course itself is rundown, the weeds growing on the fairways and greens, the bunkers incredibly bad and not even topped up with sand weeds growing in them all rock hard and no rakes were provided. The surrounding flora was overgrown with weeds and dead tree branches and had to be seen to be believed - the tee grounds were left in disrepair and old tee points left overgrown with long grass. The concrete paths were broken from tree roots
The golf carts were tired hard to steer and control and the battery didn’t even last the full 18 holes !
The pavers surrounding the clubhouse were filled with weeds and some plants were dead.
Inside the clubhouse was filthy and some of the slats were covered in dust and grit and some were out of plum.
To see what has become of this once magnificent golf course makes our hearts break - it would take a lot of money and obviously a dedicated new owners to restore this course to its former glory. I regret to advise we will never consider a return game there and it can only be hoped that new owners might return one day
Suggest you wouldn’t want to make a visit anytime soon (sadly)

This is a real shock to write this. It seems this place is running out of money or something.

The upkeep of the place is terrible. The old gym area is in a state of disrepair now with trees growing out of the gutters.

The gardens look as though management does not even care!

I was a past member here and to see it now is just terrible.

I hope they turn things around otherwise members will just start walking out of this place.

We visited here on a Sunday for lunch and the place looked closed. We explored down stairs from main reception entry hall and found the pro shop and restaurant and bar on the right side of the stairs
It was very windy so we opted for a indoor table
The bar staff were extremely helpful and friendly
We ordered the ceaser salad very tasty anda good size, wasn’t presented overly nicely but then again it’s a salad!
My husband had the steak and was really impressed cooked to its medium perfection the chips were also perfect crunchy and soft centred. I had the creamy garlic prawns and rice and it to was really nice although I thought the rice was a bit dry the sauce was perfectly adequate to help that out
Good prices but a very short menu.
They’re not yet doing dinner but we hope they do we’ll be back for sure

Had a lovely lunch in The Grille restaurant overlooking the golf course. Very hot day but the breeze was lovely. The roasted pumpkin and haloumi salad was sensational. Staff are friendly and efficient.
