We had a poor experience with Travelwild / West Adventure Tours on our recent Perth to Broome trip (this poor experience was shared by other participants undertaking the same trip).
In short, facilities on this trip were very sub-standard given what was expected. Two examples: in the camping sites selected shower facilities were only available on a few nights, and toilets were not available on several nights. And secondly, there was also limited power available at sites or on the bus to charge phones / devices - essential given almost everyone uses their phone / device for photos today. Our tour guide did an admirable daily job of attempting to arrange / confirm that night's accommodation, but it did feel to the tour party that adequate arrangements hadn't been made satisfactorily in advance.
Following this unsatisfactory experience (from a facilities perspective) we did complain to the provider contact (Tim Grigg) but to no avail. Hence this 'heads up' for prospective future tour attendees.
To be clear: the scenery and experiences of the West Australia region are stunning - particularly the national parks and the incredible Ningaloo reef - so definitely don't miss out ! However we'd strongly recommend closely focussing upon contracted itinerary and commitments very carefully with whatever tour company you are considering to avoid disappointment.

If you want to discover the West Coast from Perth to Broome, this tour is made for you. Tom and Lucy, the two guides I traveled with were absolutely amazing. They are very passionate by their job and that was the cherry on top. It is very pleasant to travel with guides who love their job, who always have a fact about the place you travel to. The itinerary is set up but it is also flexible which is a good thing.
WA was a long time project and I am definitely glad I have done it. The West Coast is such a beautiful part of Australia. I traveled with a group who was like a family at the end of the trip.
This experience was what I expected. People were very fun and Tom and Lucy were lovely. In addition of being an excellent cookers, they are very easy going and fun. Always make sure everyone is having a good time.
This adventure (the itinerary) has definitely been a success, from the inland gorges, the turquoise water and the National Park. It is definitely what I expected.
Being with like minded people and the two best guides, Tom and Lucy made my experience even better
I highly recommend this tour if you want to discover the West Coast and have an experience of a lifetime.
6 stars out of 5 !!

My parents (62 and 59) and I (pregnant, 33) enjoyed this wondeful 7-day-Camping-Tour with our wonderful guide Alan and a group of nine beautiful travel mates very much!!!! We saw wonderful beaches, slept under the stars in our swags, enjoyed the excellent food by the campfire, experienced the beautiful wildlife, went diving at the ningaloo reef with Manta rays, turtles, reef sharks and fish in every form and colour and went hiking to discover interesting scenic and historic sites!!! It was just magical - we will always remember that wonderful journey! Thank you, Alan and the gorgeous group! <3

From the super friendly welcome in Perth to the final sad goodbye at the end this is an adventure you will never forget. Alan is an amazing tour guide - knowledgeable but never boring & he makes every person on the tour feel like a life long friend. He has a natural ability to connect with people of all ages & he was definitely one of the highlights of the tour. My travel companions were wonderful & we had many great laughs & interesting conversations around the campfire.
I woke up to the most spectacular sunrises & enjoyed a nice cold beer watching beautiful sunsets. The hikes were at times really challenging but well worth the effort (the Kalbarri Gorges are stunning!) As a beginner to snorkelling I was a bit hesitant but it was brilliant & they make it so easy to do!! Everyone can do it & definitely should! The Swimming with Manta Rays was an experience I will always remember & the crew from Coral Bay Eco Tours were fantastic.
The food - OMG the food was delicious! Alan is a master at creating feasts in a camp kitchen (and we were extra lucky to have the gorgeous Lucia who helped produce some of the tastiest meals I have ever eaten!) I loved our "thousand star" restaurant! :-)
I've lived in Australia all my life & I have never experienced it like this before. I can't recommend this enough to anyone who wants to get out there & see our beautiful country.
West Adventure Tours - you guys are amazing!Your customer service is the best I've ever experienced - even before I jumped on the bus, I had a zillion questions & Tim answered all of them for me & was just lovely to talk to. The tour guide Alan was bombarded with questions from morning til night and answered them all with grace, humour and intelligence. He's a bloody legend! :-)
Your tours are brilliant value for money and I can't wait to try another tour with this wonderful company.

Before the tour, I thought this tour was about......
✓Outback experience, pink lake, opportunities to take IG pictures, etc.
After the tour, I can tell you what is more than that:
✓In-depth cultural experience. Sitting around the campfire, meeting Hazel and her husband, the aboriginal people. They are very friendly and willing to share their knowledge with us.
✓ In my opinion, camping is the best way to explore WA because through wilderness camping, you would have the real experience of eating toasties with flies, sleeping under the stary sky, spotting the shooting stars, cooking with your group, etc. You might miss these experiences if you stay in the accommodation.
✓ Besides, things that impressed me the most are kangaroo spotting, snokeling with mantas and beautiful carols, watching sun raise and sunset at the beaches, laughters in the 4WD car, great music during the road trips.
✓ Don't forget to mention about Alan, our tour guide. Alan is a humble, considerate and caring person. He did all the things for our good. Rmb one day we decided to start our day at 3.30am so that we can swim at the beach before the strong wind came. If you would have a chance to go camping with him, I am sure you will enjoy the tour with him.

If you are thirsty for fun, adventure, discovery and nature this trip is just what you need ! It’s a great way to meet new people and maybe even stay in contact after. Me and my co-travelers are now friends and traveling together. But we were also felt so safe and free during the trip. The reconnection with nature, sleeping under the stars, snorkeling, seeing the wild life was absolutely amazing! It’s a great way to see a great part of WA at an affordable price. The pinnacles, pink lake, Kalbarri, Shark bay, coral bay, the reef, camping in complete nature and on the beach and so much more that I can’t even remember it was my best travel experience ever !!!
I have to leave a special word for Alan our tour guide who gave us the real Aussie experience. There is no one more Aussie than him ☺️ He was amazing, organizing everything, cooking, driving, taking care of us, making sure we were fine all the time ... he has the kindest heart on earth and we all loved him ... the only sad part was that it was over after 7 days ...
So if you want to live a life changing experience go for it !

This was a superb trip. It was guided by Alan and Rowan, both of whom were great. The bush camp sites were super, especially the shell beach. A really wonderful experience.

I made the 7 day trip from Perth to Exmouth and return this January and I can highly recommend it if you want to discover the nature of Western Australia & learn a lot about animals, plants, nature and culture of this region and a lot more.
It’s a lot of driving as the distances are huge, but it’s definitely worth it, as the landscape and the experiences are great and very diversified: snorkeling in coral reefs, walking in the Bush, at beautiful Beaches, in Gorges, in national parks and sleeping in swags under the stars. Sunsets, cold beers, good food, campfires and the list is long. We also had the occasion to meet with Hazel, an aboriginal woman, during a discussion round around a campfire and that was very very interesting.
Last but not least, our Guide Alan was great. He always paid attention to everybody in the group, he had a lot of insider stories to tell and could manage every situation during the tour, so that we always felt good. Thanks again!

Trip was very successful, enjoyed 6 nights camping under the stars, either on stations or on the beach. Tour guide made every effort to accommodate both meateaters and vegoes and the food was good. Coral Bay in particular was excellent, with great snorkelling also in Exmouth. Understand that longer hike earlier in the trip wasn’t possible due to the heat , but felt we could’ve hiked for longer on the final day on the return to Perth. Came away with a really good feel for WA and would definitely book with this operator again

It was a really nice tripp! We experienced the bushcamping, sleeping in a bag in the middel of nowhere under the Stars, just beautiful. We saw so many beautiful things, thanks our tour guide Alan. The highlight was the snorcle in coral bay, with the mantas, turtle and sharks. The food was amazing and the bus confortable. I can recommend this trip to everyone who is ready for an advanture.
