This is also an important heritage of the Christian faith in West Africa. It is important and the house is a typical English building and the room of Bishop Ajayi Crowther is very important. Anago Osho has done an extensive research of such heritages in Badagry, Bonny and West Africa.

Well that's what it is called, though it seems there are facts to show that this building was built much later than a lot of storey buildings in Nigeria, but the name has stuck!! Interesting place to visit..stone even go there to pray and drink from a well there..

Well, it may be true that some storey buildings especially in the northern part of the country have been in existence before this, but not the ones built in European architectural designs and with bricks, nails, inches and iron roofing sheets which we call building materials today.
And for the prayer, that is based on individual's faith.

Everyrhing is very interesting and well detailed during the tour. I strongly advise to visit this historical place. ThanksEzekiel for the wonderful experience

This is apparently the first storey building in Nigeria. The story behind this place is kind of interesting, it is well maintained, but there's nothing much to see. I'm happy I visited it, but it was nothing special.
