....…and this can be extrapolated to a suspicion of the museum we have never heard of. Winona, Minnesota on the banks of the still-young Mississippi has one, but be not a-feared as this one will knock your socks off. It is hard at least not to be a little wondering, first by the town then by the location in an... More

Who would know Winona has a great art museum that includes some paintings from well-known artists such as Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, Cézanne and Homer, as well as one of three paintings of Washington Crossing the Delaware? My wife, daughter and I visited the museum and were amazed at the art collection available to see. The admission price is very... More

Very surprised to find this gem! Wonderful collection that we were definitely not expecting to find in this smaller museum. Monet, Renoir, Mattisse, Van Gogh, Picasso, Homer......Couldn't believe it! Alot of the collection is private/permanent. We visited during the Jack Gray exhibit...a must see. Keep up the great work MMAM!

A small-town rich guy's collection of water-related artwork. Located on a truck route in what appears to be an industrial zone.

While a small museum off the beaten path is well worth the visit as it has world class art well presented.

My last visit to the Minnesota Marine Art Museum in August was just as great as all the visits before it. I continue to discover new gems in their collection that I somehow missed in earlier visits and the special exhibit this time was fascinating.

This museum is such a treasure to have in a town the size of Winona. Not so big that you are overwhelmed, but a world-class collection of art. The permanent collection is always worth seeing and the special exhibits are always nice, too. A must see/do when in Winona.

This unassuming building houses a world class collection of fine art. I was blown away by the number of world renowned artists represented here. They have Picasso, Renoir, Cezanne, Mondrian, Seurat, Matisse, Gaugin, Kandinsky, Homer, Audubon, Cassatt, Wyeth (both Andrew and Jamie), Degas, Van Gogh, and many more. I highly recommend visiting this museum. Someone we met in Rochester, MN... More

To my surprise, there is an art museum on the outside of Winona filled with great pieces. Many great works and also artifacts related to the Titanic. They have a Picasso. I went for the marine tattoo display which was unique and informative. I highly recommend a visit for people who have appreciation for art.
