The Minnetonka Center for the Arts is a good visit if you want to check out some local Lake Minnetonka talent in a variety of arts, including photography, paintings, sculpture, and mixed-media. It's very accessible--about a 2 minute drive from downtown Wayzata.

This is a wonderful local arts center conveniently located on 51 (Northshore Dr.) not far from 15 (Shoreline Dr.) There are art exhibitions and classes to take, for all ages. We have purchased pieces made by local artists and displayed during the art sales. Highly recommended.

The art center used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but since they lost their previous cafe owners, they don't have anything interesting. I took a few mediocre art classes there when I was younger.

You'll have to come back! Chef Melinda Alves has overhauled the Art Center Café, presenting a creative, delicious menu that changes weekly. All fresh, from scratch and made right here. Praised by Star Tribune food editor Rick Nelson. Hope to see you soon! More

They have art camps in the summer for kids and classes during the year for kids and adults. The offerings are interesting. They have some top notch equipment for pottery. The class options are more diverse than the average art camps with things like fashion design and weaving, for example.

Wonderful products made from the students and teachers in the Arts. Classes of jewelry-painting-photography-pottery-glass-metal........ Some classes are for only one day ---sign up and try something--go home with your own homemade item!
