Pretty interesting thing to see out on a lake but there it is. A lot of large and small towns have interesting things like this to attract touist and help them stand out a bit.

Big loon that's been in the lake forever. Would be cool if you're really into loons. I've seen this thing almost my whole life so I'm not impressed anymore. :D

If you are in the Virginia area, be sure to drive to Silver Lake to see the Giant Loon. It's just one of those things you need to see at least once.

The loon is removed for the winter???? So sad the lake is so lonely now. But the lake is so beautiful still during the winter. The trees are frozen with ice and many it more enchanting.
