Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

You can buy wholesale, opened or unopened, far cheaper than in restaurants, the best oysters in the state.
One producer, Broadwater Oysters, has an open-air seating area where you can eat the oysters prepared with lemon and salt, and offers drinks as well. Very good value at $12 for 16 pieces.

We were exploring and decided to check out The Broadwater at Pambula. We also saw that oysters were on sale at the landing. The view over the Broadwater and oyster leases was lovely and it was nice watching the farmers heading out the tend the racks. One seller was open and we were served by a very friendly and knowledgeable woman. We purchased a dozen freshly shucked oysters and took them away for dinner. It was a great meal!! The wonderful oysters made our little detour so worthwhile.

Freshly opened in front of you, you can even choose the size you'd like (if available). Your oysters are served on a white plate with a lemon wedge and you dine at a table in the 'el fresho' area overlooking the lakes where the oysters are grown. You're able to chat to the oyster workers while listening to the chorus of birds in the trees surrounding the business. Ask the staff to show you the medal for their second prize win in the oyster opening competition. A wonderful real life experience if you like oysters. No kill-Patrick though!!

I made a trip to Broadwater Oysters in Pambula to buy oysters from the source. It took a while to get there. When I got there, I could see a tray of opened"select" oysters. I thought they looked small, but the cocktail oysters were even smaller, so I asked for 2 dozen unopened. $18 a dozen is not cheap. When I got home and opened them, they were very small. The taste was good and fresh but the size was very disappointing. I thought this was mean when I had made the big effort to go there. I won't be going again.

Sat outside in the sun overlooking the lake and enjoyed several dozen oysters. Had a chat to the workers preparing the cages. Nothing flash, with a price hard to better.

My 2nd visit over 5 years and what a great way to buy oysters fresh from the water opened and turned and inspected as you order. Great staff here best takeaway oysters cannot get fresher to take home. These guys are suppliers only just walk up to the window to order . Paul
