Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After visiting the wonderful Chaplin’s World it was fitting to see Charlie’s last place of repose. Surrounded by colourful flowers and flora it is not in the least any way ostentatious.
Buried alongside him is Oona O'Neill, his fourth wife. This marriage was a happy one and lasted for 34 years, until his death in 1977.
It was a lovely visit. to spend some time in the spiritual presence of the great man and his beloved partner.

We take many guest to see the final resting place of Charlie Chaplin and his Oona. The setting is perfect, though quite hard to find. Ask a local. It is not within easy walking distance of the soon to be opened Chaplin Museum, i.e. his former home.

If you visit Chaplin's world this is worth a quick visit. It is signposted if you walk from the train station and also from Chaplin's world. It takes about 15mins to walk to. It is a small cemetry and Chaplin's grave is signposted for you to easily find. There is a small bench to sit on opposite the grave. It is well kept and very simple with just the names and dates. Three graves over to the left is James Mason's grave also.

We visited Charlie and Oona's grave with the help of a local gentleman who led us there. We were gratified to see the obvious volunteerism to keep this attraction a priority. With the focus on independent film, Chaplin's art should be honored by the cinema genre of the arts. His innovations set the stage for today's artists and the journey to his grave and Manior de Ban (nearby) should be on everyone who works in the industry's list of to-do destinations. Plus, that part of Switzerland is an amazing place to visit1

We have been avid Charlie Chaplin fans ever since his films were finally re-released in the U.S. in the early 1970s. Over the years, my wife has collected all of his films on DVD and we have had countless hours of enjoyment discovering the different aspects of his genius and talent. To celebrate my wife's 70th birthday I planned a trip to visit Vevey. She never dreamed she would be able to sit by the graves of Charlie and Oona and reflect in silence.

The final resting place of Charlie Chaplin and his beloved wife Oona is a very simple tribute. Visited by many and very well maintained.

The little cemetery in Corsier is the last resting place of Charlie Chaplin and his wife. The graves are easy to find - probably the largest in the cemetery with simple marble headstones. If you are a fan of Charlie Chaplin you will enjoy being near to him.

Charlie and Oona lie side by side in the local cemetery that can be found by a short walk following the Cemetery sign from the Vevey Funi. There is nothing pretentious about the grave and, to my mind, shows what a decent human being he was.

Charlie Chaplin died in Vevy in 1977, It was his adopted home and he is buried in this little cemetery up the hill opposite the funicular station. It's a bit of a hike from Vevy's Old Town but it is signposted from the Nestle building on the nearby roundabout. You then yomp up quite a steep hill opposite the funicular. The Chaplin grave is signposted from the entrance to the cemetery and has a small white bench in front of it. It's a simple and moving memorial to a great comic actor. Apparently James Mason is buried in the same cemetery too.
