The Bird Park is a small park set in a natural Cotswold Valley so there are "hills" as detailed on our web page. There is a stunning new visitor centre where you can buy light refreshments, toys, gifts and wonderful views of the park from extensive balconies. Courses, lectures and events are held here. The park's ideal for families with toddlers as it's not too large and the birds are "free", they are friendly and will come up to you if you are afraid of birds then this is not the place for you as, the birds are free inquisitive and feed from your hand as do the fallow deer and pygmy goats and the miniature donkeys are there in the summer months. There's a huge collection of peafowl, pheasant and a comprehensive collection of waterfowl from around the world, these are not your common or garden ducks. There are follies for the children to play in especially the Wendy House where you will always find toys inside for the children to play with. Bird Food can be purchased on arrival, which is great fun. Again fi you are afraid of birds then perhaps this is not the park for you. In the summer the Kookaburras are flown at noon, subject to weather. This is a casual and very natural park where you can get close to the birds and animals, with lakes, walking and a true outside feel to it so if your looking for an Alton Towers or a Lego Land attraction then again we are not for you. Yes the birds are free, yes there are hills, yes there are gates and yes it is natural. If you want to get out and be with nature then we will look forward to seeing you and you will love the park.

Great day out with family. As lovely spring weather is here, we went to this park. It was awesome, kids loves all animals, donkeys are cool, and birds, funny chickens and ducks. Kids loves them. Highly recommend for families with kids.

We use to be regular visitors to the park, previously having annual passes which made the cost slightly more worthwhile. However we booked our daughter’s birthday party in their gypsy caravan, and the party was cancelled due to snow. The road to the park was...More

I hadn't been to Prinknash for 25 years... since my own children were small, and decided to take my 20 month old grand daughter for an afternoon out. Parking was free... bonus. Cost me just under tenner for myself and 2 bags of bird food...More

Was a lovely day out, even though the weather wasn't that good, it was beautiful. People who work there are kind, and the animals are so tame it's an amazing experience to feed them from your hand, especially the deers. Me and my partner had...More

We were looking for a short trip out and something to do not too far from home with our 8 month old girl. Prinknash was easy to park at, we had a drink and fed our baby in the first cafe we came to on...More

Actually this was a brilliant idea, I hadn't been in over 10 years and took some friends.. the weather didn't dampen ours or the animals spirits and we were greeted by all. It was lovely to be able to feed everything and we got some...More

Prinkash park was a good day out for everyone. The deer were beautiful and I especially liked the little cottage and bird cages. Unfortunately, I tried taking a peacock feather with me and they told me I wasn't allowed which was very disappointing. Other than...More

Visited with my girlfriend and her 8 year old daughter. Nicely laid out place that suggests a viewing route rather than dictates. Beautiful setting tucked in on the edge of Gloucester but with a totally in the countryside feel. Lots of colourful birds and a...More

We visited today, with 10 year old daughter in tow. Plenty of parking available and it’s free, which is always welcome when paying entrance fees, to anywhere! There are plenty of birds that seek you out with expectation of being fed! We did feed them,...More
