The Bird Park is a small park set in a natural Cotswold Valley so there are "hills" as detailed on our web page. There is a stunning new visitor centre where you can buy light refreshments, toys, gifts and wonderful views of the park from extensive balconies. Courses, lectures and events are held here. The park's ideal for families with toddlers as it's not too large and the birds are "free", they are friendly and will come up to you if you are afraid of birds then this is not the place for you as, the birds are free inquisitive and feed from your hand as do the fallow deer and pygmy goats and the miniature donkeys are there in the summer months. There's a huge collection of peafowl, pheasant and a comprehensive collection of waterfowl from around the world, these are not your common or garden ducks. There are follies for the children to play in especially the Wendy House where you will always find toys inside for the children to play with. Bird Food can be purchased on arrival, which is great fun. Again fi you are afraid of birds then perhaps this is not the park for you. In the summer the Kookaburras are flown at noon, subject to weather. This is a casual and very natural park where you can get close to the birds and animals, with lakes, walking and a true outside feel to it so if your looking for an Alton Towers or a Lego Land attraction then again we are not for you. Yes the birds are free, yes there are hills, yes there are gates and yes it is natural. If you want to get out and be with nature then we will look forward to seeing you and you will love the park.

Went there in the school holidays with my two young boys. They loved it. I would definitely go there again.

I have been visiting here for several years as a couple and then with children. I love the golden pheasants and feeding the fish. The gypsy caravan is very picturesque. The Pygmy goats are great fun. Nearly always see a peacock displaying his feathers and often find one. Cafe is also lovely too.

A great half day visit, especially with children. Lots of unusual birds to see and get up close to. And there aren't many places you can go to feed free roaming deer!

This is a lovely little gem. I went with my little girl and we had hours of fun. The small animals are in little enclosures which we could walk around. We fed the birds as we went with food bought at the entrance hut. Food can also be purchased along the way. The deers are a big hit as they... More

Lovely visit here, really enjoyed being so close to the birds and deer, it was a great experience to feed the deer, lady in the visitors centre was so helpful giving us advice and directions in the local area. Good facilities in the visitor's centre. Lovely gift shop! One Goose not so friendly!! There's always one I guess.

Good concrete pathways so no problem with buggies but some steepish inclines. Plenty to see but not really spectacular. Can feed birds, fish and deer. I thought the attraction was expensive for what it is but it would seem better value if you can spend more time there, so take your time walking round.

Upon arriving at this place I was overwhelmed with how charming it is. Unlike a Zoo which is full of cages, the animals were allowed to roam across large areas of grass and ponds, with a few small gates in between to separate that larger animals such as the deer and goats. Price: Two adult tickets cost £16.80. Anyone who... More
