Not Prairie Home Companion! We had to go later in the evening and so went to the Rhubarb show. It was AMAZING!!! TONS of live music! Great jokes and comedian. NO lake wobegon stories but more of a variety show than storytelling. 2 and a half hours of the most wonderful entertainment around.

Even sitting in the second-to-last main floor row, we experienced great seats and acoustics for "A Prairie Home Companion." Theatre staff was very gracious and professional, and everything was comfortable even though every seat was filled. A beautiful setting that made the show even more enjoyable.

I went to the Fitzgerald Theater for "A Prairie Home Companion" on September 28. I had a great time. The theater itself is a nice ode to times past.

Enjoyed the theater presentation. The entrance thru the skyway was a bit confusing, other patrons miling around in the lobby. No one really seemed to know when and where we supposed to actually present our tickets and take our seats.

The theatre is beautifully rehabbed: the seats are comfy, and the gold paint shines in the lights, but woe to the lady who does not race the restroom before intermission.

The Fitz is a intimate venue well suited to medium size productions. For us it is the home of Prairie Home Companion and was renamed the Fitzgerald Theater, from the World Theater, in honor of the writer E. Fitzgerald, a hometown boy, but also has other shows.

Went to go see a couple different performances by Ballet Minnesota a few years ago and I absolutely loved taking my date to this charming and elegant venue. Everything about this place is pure class.

Old style theatre with quality entertainment This theatre is in downtown St Paul. What a venue at reasonable prices parking is nearby. Not to missed.

Wonderful, charming theater in the heart of St. Paul. Try to catch Garrison Keillor when he and his Prairie Home Companion show is in town! Terrific entertainment and a Minnesota icon!

The Fitzgerald Theater in Saint Paul is one of the best venues I have ever had the pleasure to experience. Architecturally stunning, the Fitzgerald is the oldest theater in St. Paul and was built in 1910. Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) bought the theater in the mid 1980's and soon after it became the setting for the internationally acclaimed live radio... More
