Take some time to remember and honor those who gave their lives in an undeclared war. Inside a park across from the State Capitol, you can walk around, or find a spot to sit and reflect.

This is a quick little jaunt and is worth packing a little snack and sitting in for a bit. I found it a quiet place that has so much history it is worth a refresher in wiki-history-reading while you tour. Near past history that still have living members coming to sit too.

This memorial is part of a complex that includes WWII, Korean Conflict, Firefighters, Peace Officers, and other memorials that pay tribute to Minnesota's contributions to our nation's safety and freedom. The complex is beautiful and peaceful, and serves its purpose to allow visitors to remember the sacrifices that so many made on behalf of the rest of us. Definitely worth... More

As a Veteran of Vietnam myself, I make it a practice to visit all the Memorials possible when close to one. Minnesota has done our veterans proud, well worth the time.

In a memorial whose purpose is similar to the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial in Washington, D.C.,visit the expanse of lawn in front of the State Capitol, roughly in the southwest section to find a wall with the names of service members from the state of Minnesota who died in the Vietnam War. There is a way to locate a particular name... More

The Minnesota Vietnam Veterans' Memorial, located on the State Capitol Grounds, is peaceful and moving. After visiting the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial, you may also want to visit the Peace Officers' Memorial and Korean War Veterans' Memorial, also located on the Capitol Grounds. The Capitol Grounds features many memorials which are both touching and beautiful reminders of those Minnesotans who have... More

They did this area up right. It is a wonderful place to see the names of the VietNam Vets who didn't come back to us. It is really an honor to have this memorial in my home town.
