We saw deer, turkeys and beautifully kept grounds. Grab a sack lunch and sit on the grounds over looking the city. Buildings and church are marvelous.

I believe this is the highest point in Rochester if I'm not mistaken. None the less, it's beautiful from up on the grounds. We did not take the tour. We just stopped to take in the breathtaking view.

The tour was well done with lots of information, culminating in a visit to the cathedral. Something funny: I noticed that the confessionals were stuffed with boxes and things; they are being used as storage. Too bad because we wanted to play/pretend that we were...More

This is a convent, so it is a private residence. They have certain days one can visit, so check their website before. The visit includes the monastery, church and the grounds. Just the grounds are gorgeous gardens and serene spots. Wonderful place to take pictures,...More

Not a lot to see for a tourist but it does have a nice church and grounds to walk around. It is a retirement home for nuns.

My daughter and husband went to visit. They were told to come back another day, which they did. For somewhere that advertises all are welcomed, my 13 year old noted it didn't feel very welcoming. Way to go! ,

Beautiful grounds and chapel. Tours are only available on Mon and Sat at 2:00, but go if you can. This is probably one of the top 5 things to see in Rochester. I could have spent an hour in the chapel alone.

We learned the role the Catholic Sisters with the first Mayo doctors to establish St. Mary's Hospital and the now Mayo Clinic. Very interesting history and beautiful site. It is well worth a visit.

The website says that you are supposed to book a free tour to see the "full tour". We apparently went on a Walk-in Wednesday, but it was supposed to end at 4pm. One of the sisters was kind enough to give us the "short... More
