I've been to Wood Lake many times and it is one of the best nature centers available. The trails are good and include a huge floating boardwalk. Inside the visitor center, there are a number of interesting exhibits and animals.

1.8 mile loop around a wetland that supports many birds. Multiple paths so you can make several laps and cover different trails. We noted many bird watchers with giant-lensed cameras. The floating board walk is fun when you are trying to maintain a steady gait.

A beautiful place for a walk through nature in the middle of the Cities. Path's to enjoy the trees, the fresh air, and a break from the hectic pace of the city.

On the way back from the post office I stopped here to walk. It is very nice and the floating boardwalk is fun. Its a great walk they have allot of rules. There are places to lock up a bike!

Beautiful in any season, but I must say experiencing the snow on the trail with the seclusion of a nature preserve is simply amazing!
