Our family camped here for the weekend on Father's Day weekend in one of the camper cabins. It was super fun for the whole family! The cabin was super clean and reasonably priced for two nights stay. A very peaceful park with lots to see. We hiked, fished, and sat around the campfire! A great get away for families! We've... More

The campsite okay, the staff, rude, to the point of being nasty and mean. Never going in that direction again

There wasn't a whole lot to do in this park. We walked through the historic forestville area, which was not clearly marked, trying to figure out what we were supposed to be doing. A tour guide rudely informed us and our 3 small children that we weren't allowed to wander around there and didn't even bother to tell us how... More

This is a great state park with some wonderful hiking trails. There isn't an official beach but there is a swimming hole you can cool off in. Lots of wooded areas to camp. Bathrooms & showers very clean!

Enjoyed the walking and horse riding trails. They can be challenging if you don't walk a lot of hills.

There was nothing to the main park, as far as we could tell - an ampitheater and a boring trail down a boring creek. We mostly went for the caves, but the 'main park area' was pretty disappointing.

We like to go to Minnesota State Parks. This park has nice hiking and is beautiful. The terrain varied so there is some challenge. The map given was topographical so you knew the elevations- very helpful. The trails were clear, but could have been marked better in the Historic Forestville site.

This is a very cool state park. We walked a trail with kids and saw the bluffs. Worth the $5 parking pass for the day.

Enjoyed the park. It is a hidden gem in Southern MN. Got in some fly fishing too. Campgrounds were nice, a bit harder to get to the shower houses in places.

The quiet woods fast running ice cold river next to your campsite is nature at its best. Campsites are roomy and private.
