This is very much a chain store and restaurant nightmare. It is more for the workers than people looking for distinctive. Also, several people have jumped from the tower over the years.

There is a neat water feature in the IDS building. There are also a few restaurants in wide price range including potbelly, sushi, People's Organic, and Basil's. One of my favorite spots is Yogurt Lab. There is also some shopping and it is very convenitially located in downtown.

The Crystal Court is a pleasant place to sit and people watch or to walk through. There are a number of benches, and often something unusual is being promoted..or sold. There are a number of restaurants with varying price ranges immediately adjacent. There's also a pleasant donut stand, Bogart's, which has donuts for $2.35 - $.3.35. Popular but much more... More

The Crystal Court is an great inside spot in downtown Minneapolis. It is attached to the IDS Tower, so it's easy to find. It has several skyway to choose from. There are restaurants, a gift shop and 3 bank branches. Its fountain, trees and benches are great spots to sit and relax.

My family used to come to Minneapolis to shop several times a year. I remember being impressed by this building as a kid, and it is indeed beautiful. It is the hub of downtown and the Skyway system, and there is a pleasant group of benches around a fountain. You are not supposed to take photographs, which I found out... More

During the day I imagine Crystal Court is filled with business people rushing through. But at night it is quite amazing. The dim lights, the reflection of the city through the ceiling, and the romance that fills the air from those dining at Basil's patio. You cannot forget the indoor waterfall which also adds to its beauty. If you have... More

This is where someone should start in their visit to downtown Minneapolis. The court may not be the most impressive in the world, but it is really something. Four square blocks with a hight of about four stories or so, with shops, banks ,very good food, and central access to one of the finest skyway systems in the world, so... More

The IDS building is connected to the Skyway. Lots of older folks were taking a break here - sitting on the benches and enjoying the indoor waterfall and trees. We could see how the atrium would be very enjoyable during the frigid winter months. We were here on a Saturday and parked on site for $6. The entrance to the... More
