I came across 'Gold Medal Park' when I parked my car on the roadway next to it to walk down to the Stone Arch Bridge and Mill Ruins Park. It is a pleasant enough park with plenty of well maintained grass, a large red metal sculpture and a mound with a winding pathway, all set amongst some nice trees. It is right next to the old Gold Medal Flour Mill which is where the Park gets its name. A good place for a picnic if you are passing but not a park I would drive out especially to visit.

This park abutting the Mississippi is lovely but not all that special. A large mound with a winding walking around it to the top make up the centerpiece of the park. There are a few sculptures but mostly, this is just a lovely green space.
