You will love this little area

Among my favorite corners of Minneapolis is Gold Medal Park. Whether by bike or by foot, the trails along the part a are wonderul metro hideaway.

Great, pet-friendly park to romp through on a beautiful day. Start your walk with a trip to Izzy's Ice Cream on the South edge of the park!

Quiet area to walk or hang out - nice green space in middle of city. Good exercise area - but great place to rest on a nice summer day.

You can't beat the beautiful green lawn with great sculptures, leading up to a tall slope with views of the river. Be sure to go inside the Guthrie Theater next door, take the escalator to the top, and look down from the balcony (for free!) for breathtaking views of the park on your right, the old Gold Medal Flour mill... Came here for the fireworks on the 4th of July--the park was packed but pleasant and comfortable. The hill in the center of the park offers wonderful views.

On Saturday the farmers market was bustling. Lots of fresh vegetables, baked goods, and specialty clothes. There were lots of samples to help in selections. People were eating on the steps looking at the bridges and river. People were strolling through the Guthrie Theater. The was a grassy hill,to climb for scenic views. Workers across the street were building new... More

There is a large mound in the middle which offers a leisurely circular stroll up the hill (Stroller friendly) to the top which offers views of The Guthrie, Stone arch bridge(Somewhat obscured by the trees) and North east. Great park in condo central.

This is a nice little park not far from the riverfront. It includes some sculptures/artwork and lots of grass for hanging out or playing. The middle of the park is a small hill with a winding path to the top where there are a handful of trees and some shade.

Great Park right on the banks of the Mississippi. Expect it to be crowded and to pay for parking, though.

This park is a nice addition to the Guthrie Theater and all those new developments surrounding it. It was developed only recently and it is very popular among locals when the weather is nice. It offers some nice views of Mississippi river, it's quiet and very clean.
