Great Park

This is a great place to go after you have visited one of the pubs on St Anthony Main. A great place to watch and feel the power of the Mississippi .

If you are a bit of science or history buff or if you are into a nice views of a semi-decent Minneapolis skyline then this is an okay place to visit. It didn’t exist a few years ago and it’s nice that the city has decided to renovate it and open it for public. It’s a popular sport among tourists... More

After touring the Mill City Museum we walked along the paths and bridge to the Water Power Plant. The view from the bridge is fantastic. We stood there and enjoyed watching the water move and talked about the history. Nice way to spend an afternoon!

Right on the river, it is a prime location. Not the best maintained, but a great place to walk/bike if you get a chance.

This is a very beautiful walk along the Mississippi River. We grabbed a cup of coffee at a nearby coffee shop and went for a very relaxing stroll. This was our 1st time in Minneapolis and I'm glad we took the time to stop here. I wouldn't plan on a whole afternoon but totally worth checking out.

This is a park along the Heritage Trail in Minneapolis that gives a view of the power stations that supplied the energy to the nearby flour mills after they stopped using the Mississippi River to turn their grinding wheels. Though somewhat small the current of the Mississippi funneled through the turbines is swift. They are located next to the St.Anthony... More

Walked the park and enjoyed the views. The signage was great that explained the history of the area. Need several hours to enjoy it.

We loved everything in the park but the trail was closed we went in the same because didn't say do not grass pass or do not enter and there were a lot of people in the trail. But the trail needs some attention , but of course I recommend it because it's unique place

Living right by the Mississippi, I have a wealth of walk choices each morning. When my dog and I want to sense the power of the Mississippi Falls, feel like we can touch Downtown's Skyscrapers, stand alone in a meadow and hear the red wing blackbirds as they fly by, we go to Water Power Park. Its a gem. Being... More
