Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was in the area and walked the campus. It’s really a beautiful place. Makes me wish that I went to school here. The old buildings are cool looking and it’s right over the river. Really nice.

The buildings of the University of Minnesota are worth a visit. The stately quadrangle is inviting and majestic. The Weisman Art Museum (currently closed due to Covid) is a great Gehry building.

We toured the campus in November when there was a small amount of snow on the ground. The campus is very walkable and easy to get around. Beautiful buildings!

We walked the whole campus. It has the feel of an old school which is cool. It’s high on a bluff above the river and offers great views. There is plenty of green space. A very nice campus.

The University of Minnesota Recreation Center offers everything students and faculty could possibly need. This was my first visit for the purpose of volunteering at USA Swimming Junior National Championship.

Parking can be a challenge for visitors. There is a nearby parking garage and very limited surface spaces. The area around the pool was clean.

The building although dated to possibly the 70's is in great condition. The majority of the facility is the competition pool used by the University of Minnesota Swim team. The facility is nicely maintained. However, faculty and students can use the pool.

The Olympic size competition pool is 50 meters with movable bulkhead, platform diving and well. The aquatic complex consist of approximately 145,000 gallons of swimming capability. The Long Course pool has eight lanes for competition..

The spectator area is expansive and spans the entire length of both sides of the pool and well. The public locker room area is large and pretty clean. There were two malfunctioning items.

Great facility and hope to return for another event in the near future.

My daughter attends here as a sophomore now and it is a wonderful school with so many choices of career paths available. There are two museums on three separate sections of the campus and wonderful athletic as well as musical opportunites.

A sprawling campus with buildings on both sides of the Mississippi & yet another campus in Saint Paul. I liked how the University is integrated with the Twin Cities, yet still has an insulated feel to it.

Visited the campus today before most of the students arrived and found it to be surprisingly pretty. You'll enjoy the architecture, the mall, the bridge from one bank to the other....and there's plenty of transportation as well. The bookstore has so much to offer and there's lots of food choices on campus, so you don't have to leave if you don't want to. The Carlson School of Management is fun to tour, if you have time. There's a tunnel underneath if it's winter and you don't want to go outside. Who knew that a university had so much variety to offer?

Was really impressed with U of M. It's close to the river and in a very urban area but campus itself feels kind of isolated, like the school is all that's there. I like that, when a campus is distinct and you know when you're on it and when you're not.

Architecture was consistent throughout the main part of campus and everything was well cared for.

The athletic fields are also all nice and together (mostly) in an athletics district.

We like to tour campuses wherever we go and it's hard to compare one to another because they are different sizes and in different locales. U of M though definitely is in the upper tier.

Definitely recommend.
