Lots of materials here that give you a real feel for Lanesboro as a mini-boom town during its railroad history. Was doing some minor searches on family history and found lots of touchpoints here plus the staff is VERY helpful and pleasant. The research materials...More

This museum had a large amount of exhibits on the town and its history. The exhibits were well organized by categories and dates i really liked the large amount of displays on the schools...pictures, news articles. Trophies, etc. From way back.

There's a lot of interesting history for a small town, and it's well arranged in this historic building. the docent on duty was warm and well-informed.

I love this place! This museum makes history so personal and cultural. Everything displayed is connected to a specific family from the town. That just doesn't happen at other museums. There is so much to see here that I discover new things on every visit.
