Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very disappointing - website indicated this was open on Sunday - we arrived & it was closed despite the sign in the driveway also indicating we were within the opening hours. There were at least 10 people at the door as baffled as us. I called the owner & he just said this wasn’t open today. We had driven here just to see this gallery - it would be helpful if this business would update its website to reflect its opening hours.

Ok we literally stumbled across this quaint little gallery as we were driving aimlessly exploring. They are moving into a main store in Albany soon so future visits will need to source their location in Albany. However - the fragrance of the wood oils as you enter the gallery set you up for a visual and auditory wonderland of natural beauty. With a variety of makers contributing to the product range, you get the experience of rustic to precision works and functional to aesthetic works. The lady in the gallery who served us was so warmly welcoming, calming and interesting to talk with. I could easily have left with some magnificent new furniture peices! The smaller items that I did leave with are just beautiful. Well worth a drop in to look around - some things are (rightly so) more expensive while other things are very affordable. Even just to browse and appreciate the crafted peices and enjoy a lovely chat - well worth dropping in.

It's at times like these that you wish that you had much more pocket money to spend on items of superior quality, finesse, craftsmanship and outstanding beauty. Just to walk into this heritage-looking building was quite an experience, but then to discover intricate pieces, cogs and wheels all turning and moving to create a sense of serenity and peace, it left you quite amazed that humans have been entrusted with such skill to create things of beauty and purpose! No wonder this craftsman was chosen to create a bespoke piece for Her Royal Highness The Queen! What a wonderful representative; a world-renowned Australian Artist and Craftsman. Well done and thank you for sharing your work and store with us all. Hopefully those with the funds will buy your beautiful pieces! I would for sure!

I stopped off at this gallery by chance. And I'm so glad I did. It was absolutely stunning! When you enter the smell of all the different woods hits your senses. As you walk around the store you can tell that each piece has been made with such love and care. Definitely worth a visit! I purchased several items for myself and for gifts!

Walked into what from the outside appeared to be a not-so-exciting shop but once inside was blown away by the absolutely brilliant craftmanship, imagination, design and just sheer delight of beautiful and creative pieces of timber turned into objects of art. I wished I had no weight restrictions for the trip home but this didn't stop me from purchasing at least 2 pieces (small) to take away with me. Store person was very pleasant and informative. Definitely highly recommend a trip to this shop for all timber and art lovers.

Some unique types of woodwork and a huge variety of reasonably priced chopping boards. The range of woodwork is restricted in size to what you can carry out of the shop. It is well worth the visit.

Some brilliant pieced of art and craftsmanship. Lots of interesting things to buy and see from furniture to decoration pieces and useful items such as place mats, door chimes and wooden cases for spectacles. Some great gift ideas. Prices were reasonable I believe.Kids enjoyed it too.

Wow, as soon as we walked into the gallery we were greeted with such a wonderful smell, gentle music and beautifully crafted pieces. Definitely worth calling in to the shop on York Street.
