This place is worth any stop along the river road between Minneapolis and La Crosse - you won't be able to contain yourself looking not only at all the toys they have for sale - but also the old toys they have to look at. There is also a great carousel made locally by wood carvers - every time we... More

We have traveled this road for years and Lark Toys has always been a "bathroom break" stop when my three boys were growing up as we traveled between Red Wing and La Crosse. We would always marvel over the beautiful carousel animals, play miniature golf or watch the pot bellied pig (no longer there). Now that my sons are grown,... More

We had some free time while we were staying in a nearby town & decided to stop in here. It was a cute place. Lots of toys the kids are allowed to play with & a few different types of shops inside. The carousel was beautiful and for $2 a ride it was worth it. There is an ice cream... More

Lark toys is a fun stop and break (a long break) if you're on the road. Yes, the prices are a bit high but it's a family run business and as mentioned by other reviewers, you are supporting a family not a chain store. The carousel, itself is worth the stop, it has beautiful handcarved animals to ride and the... More

The most beautiful one of a kind hand carved carousel that you will not want to miss. The toy and book store is also great. Don't miss the homemade fudge.

Travel stop before the National Eagle center. Beautiful simple wooden toys, and even more beautiful carousel. Also has some Llamas in the back yard. Visit was October 2015.

Lark Toys has been here at this location for nearly 30 years. I remember going there in the late 1980s when the woodcarver/owner was creating the giant carousel (mostly hand carved animals) and one could go and watch it through windows being carved and built. That carousel is still there and operable for kids of all ages to ride on.... More

This is one of the few toy stores that carries more unusual toys. They had marionettes that you could purchase and many different kinds of puppets. The toy museum brought back many memories of toys from my childhood. The carousel is one of the most unusual I have ever seen. The animals are all unique and some local to Minnesota.... More

We stopped to pick up a birthday present for our grandson. What a fun place! They had a wonderful variety of toys as well as displays of different types of collections. Be sure and look for Raoul!
