In full disclosure, I am an occasional volunteer at Carpenter Nature Center, working on their various archives (I don't do well outdoors), but I really love this place and all that they do here. The acreage provides walking and hiking trails, with views of the...More

The scenery at this nature center is outstanding with lots of prairie trails. We came here expressly for the Carpenter Art Festival today and were pretty disappointed with that, however. There were just a handful of artists booths, so it did not feel very "festival-ey."...More

Our family comes here often after church for picnics. We love to walk the trails. It is very well cared for with love. They have a nice interpretative center, as well, and several outlook points. A must see for all. :-)

I had a 10K race that started and ended at this facility o celebrate the apple blossom festival (blossoms however, had peaked by mid-may). The grounds are worth exploring and scenic view of the St. Croix river.

A surprise treasure, will be even more beautiful when we return in the summer. We will definitely add this gem to our places to visit in all seasons.
