Pretty cool cascade -- more water and more altitude than I ever would have expected. The park gives on to the rocks for scrambling around -- I wouldn't recommend for little kids if they have a dangerous streak in them. There is serious power in...More

Beautiful and tranquil walking paths. The old railroad bridge makes a steillar overlook of the Vermillion River. The old mill ruins add a touch of mystery to the overall setting.

I lived in Hastings most of my life and the falls is the most peaceful and calming park in all of Hastings I love the walking path and I love sitting by the water fall and listening to it and watching it

Vermillion falls provides a great spot to take children. The paved trail is easy for strolling. Walk for a distance and see all that unfolds. Grandchildren were excited when we got to the wooden bridge and could watch the falls from our advantage point. Grab...More

The falls are nice, but it is a more scenic view from below. Hidden downstream are the ruins of an old mill that burned down on Christmas in the 1800s. Also recommend the old railroad treadle bridge over the river.

The fall is only 100 feet from the parking lot and connected to several well paved trails . It is next to a factory and they have left some of the old sprockets where a water mill used to be.

If you don't have a car available Applebee's is across the street and you can walk under the bridge. We stayed at the hotel next to Applebee's and walked to the falls.

It used to be owned by ConAgra. I don't know if it still is but up until recently it was owned by them. I know it is still in use.
