The DECC provides the ideal setting for meetings and conventions. It is located within walking distance to over 1,600 hotel rooms, unique shops and tempting restaurants. Panoramic views of the Aerial Lift Bridge and Lake Superior is the backdrop for our 250,000-sq.-ft. facility. We boast the second largest ballroom in the state with two convention centers. We feature our own internal Catering and Exposition Services Department to make planning your event a breeze. Ample parking with a new ramp makes it easy and accessible to downtown and for event parking at the DECC and the William A. Irvin.

Went with my daughter & a friend to the Junk Hunt. Fun to check out the different booths. Stopped to take a break & saw someone eating a sandwich that actually looked good. Went to the concessions & found they were serving grilled cheese with...More

We are so pleased that you enjoyed the grilled cheese and tomato basil dip. This is a new concession offering launched this year and will continue to be sold at additional DECC events. Fun fact: The basil in the recipe was grown on our very...More

Not only have I participated in university commencements in this venue, but I have also watched hockey, curled, attended symphony concerts, and seen the Harlem Globetrotters. The staff are courteous and the views are good from any seats. Some seats for hockey were pretty tight...More

The seating and the acoustics were good enough to see and hear from anywhere in the room. It was not any great architectural marvel but very utilitarian to meet the basic needs. The seats were much like the old movie theater close together and you...More

Seats are narrow. Lots of steps. Not enough bathroom locations (although there are plenty of stalls). A little difficult to know which door to go in. So, it's like any other stadium.

Although my trip was business related, I can definitely see this convention center used for so many things, including wedding receptions. The rooms were elegant and the menu sublime. I recommend the location for conferences and/or trainings. There were only two criticisms that I had,...More

We were here for our grandkids archery tournament. Lots of walking but the parking was great. Very reasonable fee for parking and we could leave and come back and did not have to pay again.

We were here for a robotics competition in which our high school team participated. They need more signage as it was a tad difficult to find our way around. Parking was also confusing. The arena itself is nice and comfortable. Not nearly as nice as...More
