This is a free museum and a perfect place to sit for a few minutes and watch a movie about shipping or take in some exhibits. There are good restrooms inside.

They have the "big ship" schedules. They are located right there by the lift-bridge. If you time it right, you can watch the bridge to up to let a ship through. Fun little museum and gift shop.

Very interesting displays of old ship motors and maritime related paraphernalia, facts and figures. Plus, it is warm in there when it is cold outside. Usual government building hours. Pay parking nearby at Canal Park.

The ships come in sometimes multiple times in one day, sometimes not at all. The ships going in/out vary day to day. The paper and the center have the ship times postduring for each day.
