10 year old loved it

My son loved this tour. This was the first time we had done it and he really enjoyed it. Got to see lots of different parts of the ship and how day to day things were done.

Had a great time seeing all of the areas of this old laker. I learned a lot and had a great time. Lots of steps and low ceilings...beware!!

It was so so fun! I would suggest this to other people! O think the experience is great! You get to learn a lot of cool stuff! My tour guide was Ryan! He was so fun, energetic, and knew his stuff!

Where else can you see the inside of a laker like this?! (Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know... Superior, but that's a totally different style of Vessel!) This tour really shoes you everything and is well worth the price! And in October each year they do the Haunted version and it's just scary enough to be exciting but not too scary... More

Very, Very interesting. Wear shoes for walking and climbing. Flip flops......not so much. A fun back in time snap shot of what ship life on the Great Lakes was like. Nice staff and gift shop. The 10 and up group would enjoy the physical activity. The 50 and up group, depends.

This gives you a true experience in what being a crew member, enduring the Great Lakes in good weather and bad. And remember they are as long as 1000 feet these days.

It is great to see these ships retained for the future generations to view & admire. One of several kept as floating Museums ( "Valley Camp" Sault St. Marie MI etc.) but as usual our impeccable timing had it closed for the season !! Still an impressive sight to wander around & admire , they are Big Mothers !!

This is a fun ship to tour, through October. Wish it was open after Oct, especially when the weather is nice. Have done this tour before and would recommend it.

I've always wanted to try the haunted tour on the S.S. William Irvin ship, but couldn't get anyone to go with me. Now I know why. I finally convinced by sister to go. We were terrified the entire 45 minutes! It was very well done - almost too well done! I highly recommend it if you're in to haunted houses,... More

Take the time and explore this great boat. We had a great docent who took us through the whole boat and explained the operations and daily living. What a kitchen! What lodgings - cozy is the right word. It is well worth it to see how these folks live.
