If you are going to be in the Duluth area make sure you take a trip to the Apostle Islands. You can even stay one night in one of the quaint B&B's. The scenery is beautiful and the town has it's own charm and stores to visit along with restaurants with a view.

We were at Apostle Islands mid summer of 2015. Start by finding Bayfield, WI. Park and walk around. Nice little tourist town. You'll eventually come across the Scenic Cruises near the water. If you'd like, you can even go back to get you car and take a ferry to Madeline Island.

This a great getaway! Being on the island offers a slow paced relaxing weekend. Bike, swim, hike, and walk the beaches of Lake Superior.

This is a must see for nature lovers. For the kayaker, this is top 5 in the United States, JFK christened the islands as a national park--JFK JR paddled the islands.30 years later. Madeline Island is the only remaining island of the 22 that is still inhabited and is a magnet for nature lovers nationwide.

We took the boat tour that goes by these caves, so we saw them from the water. They are so large that kayaks can go in and through them. It seriously is like nothing I have ever seen before, and I am old and traveled. This area has so much to explore, and the history is fascinating. How people live... More

We have been to Bayfield many times in the past and we keep loving it. This year we decided to explore the Apostle Islands more thoroughly and booked a boat cruise. Stunning! We learned about history and nature and we were able to see the beautiful rock formations up close. Devil's Island is definitely the high light! We highly recommend... More

Our friends and us set out from Bayfield on three different boats. We headed to Michigan Island first. It is more quaint and wilderness like. It does have a beautiful lighthouse, however. We then headed to Stockton Island. This island is one of our favorites. It has a 1/2 mile trail to Julian Bay. This bay has a 1 mile... More

I loved Bayfield and the Apostle islands. We took a glass bottom boat tour. Tour was through Apostle Island Cruises and the captain grew up in the area so he had many interesting stories of the history of the islands. We only did a day trip and that definitely wasn't long enough for all the neat things in the area... More

We booked a private charter cruise to see the Apostle Islands' sea caves. It was 2 pm in the afternoon with perfect weather for a boat ride into the Apostle Islands. Our Captain is a native of Bayfield. He gave us a up-close and personal view of the sea caves inside. My son was able to touch the walls of... More
