Great location and variety of entertainment options. Ames is a very nice alternative to going in to either of cities too.

We've attended multiple events at the center from concerts to community events. This is just what the area needs. The splash pad outside the center is definitely a focal point for families with young children.

Small venue showing great acts and plays. Free parking, full bar, no bad seats in the whole place! We have attended concerts, comedy, and plays and have not been disappointed once. The main stage and the black box theater both are intimate settings.

We were there for the Masquerade Dance Nationals. They had an actual dance room with a wooden dance floor, wall to wall mirrors and a dance bar. They also have a "Black Box". The auditorium had very comfortable roomy seats with a steeply raked floor so you can see very well. The lobby area has a full window wall for... More

We've attended over a half dozen events and been impressed every time. Great sight lines and sound, great people and full bar and FREE parking ramp. Plus there is a great Mediterranean restaurant right across the street. Shows include local symphony and ballet as well as world class talent like Larry Carlton, Tommy Emmanuel, The Rides (check them out), Brian... More

I have seen two concerts at the Ames Center. Great seating, great sound...love the smaller, intimate venue, location and love the easy FREE parking. I have seen plenty of concerts driving into Mpls or SP, I will gladly wait to see what appears on the Ames schedule to avoid going into the cities. Also the Mediterranean Cruise Cafe is a... More

I have been at this venue for concerts (Lorie Line), dance recitals (Studio 4 Dance) and it is always such a great experience. The outside is designed as a park and has beautiful lighted trees at the Holidays season. Good parking and a fun restaurant right across the street!

We were having dinner at the Mediterranean Cruise Cafe just across the parking lot on a Thursday. We were planning to go into Minneapolis for the evening but when we saw the theater across the parking lot was doing The Rocky Horror Picture Show. We decided to take a chance on that for our entertainment. WOW- I am so glad... More

Not a bad seat in the house. Reasonable prices for some great acts. Clean and comfortable. Arrive early for good parking.
