Love this park. It's huge and includes a fishable trout pond (need a trout stamp in addition to a fishing license), great river fishing spots on the Mississippi, they have grills and covered areas that you can use or rent for family gatherings, a nice...More

I always park on the Three Rivers park side of the Dam because it’s free to park. The Anoka County parks side you have to have a pass or pay $5 to park. Good place to fish or walk the dog! There are grills and...More

I love this place; however, watching the gluttony of people fish was too much for me. Carp are considered garbage fish; however, any living creature should be treated well. They are a fun fish to catch; however, children who do not know how to properly...More

Huge park with scenic trails along the river, picnic structures and a small but nice interpretive center. A pedestrian walkway crosses the river on top of the dam. Awesome water power flying over the large spillways. It's fun to see what the fishermen are catching.

This dam was closed for a number of years for structural renovation. It’s funny how much we missed not being able to take a stroll across the river. Now that it’s open again, it makes a nice destination when we’re out for a walk. The...More
