I loved the hard wood open atmosphere and the energy you feel in the place. An impressive selection of great tap tasting. I particularly enjoyed the Irish malt, but bought the Todd the Ax man t-shirt. We had a group of 6 adults, who all had a blast. Frankweberauthor.com

What a great brewery tour! Corey made it very personable and provided lots of history about the company. The samples were plentiful during the tour. Word of advice: go early to book & pay for tour then go back later. We would have liked to eat in the upstairs brewers room, but the reservations were 2 weeks out, so plan... More

5 adults and 5 teens walk into a brewery.... seriously. Although it took an hour to get a table for 10, we passed the time trying out a couple IPA's. Hopshifter was the one for me, very similar to Racer 5, maybe a little better. For food I had BBQ brisket, slaw, was excellent. The building itself is pretty cool,... More

Being from Chicago, the location of the brewery was definitely a different experience. Loved the big open space and outdoor seating. It's a nice experience but the food was just ok, I had the fish tacos which were good but small for the price and my friend had the sausage which he didn't like at all. The beer was really... More

Didn't get a tour, but this was a bright spot for a brewery. Lots if outside space, including cornhole and tables to eat/beverage. Store was good, with plenty to buy. Cornbread was delicious, beer okay, and pork sandwich good enough (generous portions). Waitstaff was a little sarcastic, but didn't bother us. Worth it to have lunch and drinks there. I... More

The new brewery in Dinkytown had not been made yet, so this was the only one to go to. Honestly, not terribly impressive when it comes to the tour and facilities, unlike the new one that is finished by now. Nonetheless, you go to the brewery for the beverages and not to brag about architecture. The beers are great and... More

Went in to check it out. It was a Saturday but still before 5pm. Very nice crowd of people had no problem getting a seat at the bar. Many delicious micro brews to choose from. Had the Surly burger, was ok, nothing to write home about, french fries were very salty, wouldn't get it again. Maybe I need more beer... More

I finally made it to Surly. We had some family in town, so went on a Saturday after lunch time, hoping that there wouldn't be any crowds. We were wrong. There was a outdoor hockey at the U stadium, so the place was jammed with Hockey fans. Were able to get a hi-top table to stand around. We weren't going... More

Great beer, good bar. The tour is great. Not too long, informative and interesting. And you get to try three different beers, plus a fourth one at the bar included, and you get a souvenir glass to take home. The food from the food truck is good too, I had the pork sandwich and it was delicious. Get there somewhat... More

Surly's got the craft beer with good bonanza started in Minnesota and they deliver. The brew pub located near the University of Minnesota Stadium Village on the East Bank, has become a destination. Come for the beer, stay for the food. You can't go wrong.
