We were expecting to see some dolphins here, but the sea was too rough, so instead we opted for the walk to see the ancient trees fossils.

Wild and cold but nice and place. No much people are there. If you will be lucky you can see penguins. I reccomandet it.

We were jet-lagged upon arrival, and it was a stormy day. It was so windy that we didn't feel safe getting out of the car--perhaps our judgment was affected by our tiredness. We saw no penguins, but then we didn't see signs directing us to a blind. (It was the "right" time of day for them.) We saw bays that... More

I initially thought "trees turned to rock" cant be interesting.....well once you walk around and see how the trees have fallen in a similar direction...the mind start to further appreaciate how this is formed. I would have liked to stay to see some penguins arrive...so my bit of advice if you want to see this...you may need to read up... More

The fossilized forest was really interesting to explore. The place is wet, so recommend boots or water-proof shoe covering. The kids enjoyed jumping around the puddles and looking at interesting rocks. But the highlight was the... More

Beautiful area for solemn contemplation, nature photography or just some fresh air. Spent some time here while driving the scenic southern route and would highly recommend a visit!

Great place to visit and lots to see. Chilly on the day we went but lots of fun. The steps down to the rocks are a great improvement to what used to be there. Information boards were very helpful.
