We are a boutique, destination winery on the Old Mission Peninsula near Traverse City, Michigan. We produce high quality white and red wines from our Estate vineyard and other local vineyards.

We booked a tasting in advance and were seated by a window overlooking the vineyard. Most of the wines they gave us were dry whites, but the Bonobo Red is fantastic! Since it was a Friday night in the summer there was live music on the deck. Overall, it was a great atmosphere and I’m sure we’ll be back.

I set up a tasting reservation for $20 per person. We each got 4 pours of 1 ounce wine of their choice. It was a total ripoff since a 6ounce+ glass of wine was $9. The view is pretty, but we were stuck inside at a tasting table. If you go DO NOT sign up for a tasting!

We were excited to stop at Bonobo after seeing such great pictures and reviews. After touring most of the wineries on the Old Mission Peninsula-this was the worst on the list. Bonobo did not offer traditional wine tasting, but rather would let you taste a few out of plastic to "help you find the wine for you". All of their wines were on the drier side, but when asked, they stated they have some sweet wines like other wineries on the peninsula. They were quick to get you a glass of wine to keep the line moving, some of the least inviting service. Once we moved to the patio the view was spectacular. However, there were several dirty plates and glasses obstructing many of the tables. We were quick to move on to other wineries that are more inviting and educational.

What a view!! This was our last stop on a winery tour and we're so glad we didn't miss it! We had a personal winery guide who gave us great recommendations (Mike at The Magic Shuttle Bus) and let us just take our time enjoying the delicious tastings, and the awesome view. The small plates they sell are out of this world and we loved the goat cheese dish and the barbacoa taco! We will definitely go back to this winery. What a special place!

Went to a reserved Food and wine pairing. Wow. Bonobo has a new chef. 3 courses of small plates were outstanding. The Rack of lamb was done perfect. The honeydew sorbet was a pleasant surprise. The flavors were exceptional and they paired well with the wines chosen. Very impressed. With friends - this was a fantastic evening with a light dinner and wine.

Nice facilities with plenty of grouped seating that doesn’t make you feel on top of others. The pork belly is a delicious appetizer you must try. Many specific rules/regs with regard to food/wine purchasing. If you are considering having dinner you MUST make a reservation at least 24 hours ahead.

My husband and I did the VIP Vintners tasting with small bites and it was wonderful. Service was fantastic and wine pairings were delicious. Highly recommend this tasting if you want something a little extra special. Enjoyed it very much!!

Excellent wines!! This is a rare winery that specializes in dry reds, which is my strong preference. We had an amazing tour from Graham, and I really enjoyed the sparkling white that started our tour. Highly recommend!

I was at this winery in May and they were very dog friendly so I decided to go back in July. I walked into the tasting room with my dog in my arms and was looking at the menu when the woman working behind the counter snapped at me and told me to take my dog out on the patio. (You have to walk through the tasting room to get to the patio). She wasn’t much nicer when I returned to the counter without my dog to buy two bottles of wine. The place is beautiful. The rose wine is nice. Some charm school training for the staff is needed.

The best winery we went to in TC. Beautifully done and modern with all of the charm you’d hope for. The best wine, food and service we had during our entire trip and can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend the Lavender Adult Slushy.
