I didn't expect much out of Traverse City, but it's a really cute downtown with a lot to offer. A lot of bookstores, Coffee shops, and breweries. In nice weather, it's worth a stroll through Front Street for sure.

So many things to see and do! Plenty of restaurants, shops, and pretty views. Such a large variety of restaurants, bars, exercise studios, coffee shops, delis, and shops (teas and spices, art galleries, clothing, chocolates, ice cream shops, popcorn shops, anything you can think of)....More

Street parking is not easy to come by during peak hours in this part of town. If you find a spot, you’ll all find many restaurants and stores within a short walk. Definitely the place to be in TC.

I absolutely love going to downtown Traverse City, any time of the year. It never gets old, and even if you have visited every shop on the main street, you will always see something new. I love the Horizon bookstore right in the middle of...More

A good street to take your time exploring. Need coin for parking meters. Cherry Republic has all things cherry including wine and cherry drinks for kiddos. Baked goods were good. Cafe to get off your feet after shopping all day.

The main attraction of Traverse City (TC) is the downtown,. The boardwalk along the Boradman river to watch the salmon run in fall, out to the beach, great brew houses and foodie town to be sure

When the locals tell you this is the main drag with all the shops, I can assure you it really only is. Everywhere else there’s really kind of nothing. “The whole city is mainly a ‘foodie’ place,” - Localist from Enjoy Michigan shop

Great shops, especially Spice Merchants and Horizon Books. Love Brew, a coffeehouse and bar combined! But the jewel of downtown is the State Theater-look it up-fascinating! As a big city gal I love having access to wonderful art film venues. Up North they have the...More

Yes there are. Most restaurants have several gluten free options listed right on their menu. I live here, eat out a lot and also have to be gluten free. It is always wise to ask just to be sure. I think Traverse City was... More
