Been to better, been to worse places. The campground was generally very noisy (both people and the highway traffic). I wasn't all that impressed that the campground was not on the same side as the beach. There is a bridge that leads across the highway. But the view of the bay was of course beautiful. This was a good place to... More

Great beach, very casual and accessible. Great to chill, enjoy the lake, play on the sands. Basic amenities like the restrooms, some playground for kids, perfect for picnic and no fuss relaxation. I visited the place after work, enjoyed the beach between 16:30 - 18:00 and it was not crowded at sll during the weekend. You simply park your car,... More

We stayed at this campground on Memorial Day weekend. We had a nice site that was rather large. My only complaint would be how far our electric hookup was from our camper. Luckily we had an extension cord. Make sure you do your research about the site you are picking. Several of the sites had trees in locations that would... More

There are many spots and some are small, many are not level. The location across the street from the beach is nice, but we won't use this park in the summer as it's too crowded.

Came here with our 2 and 6 year old daughter, for the first time. Our site was right near the swings, which was great for our girls. It is right on the main road, so the car noise can be too much. It may be better by the back of the park. The airport isn't too far away so airplanes... More

Large long and wide sandy beach. Family friendly. Some food vendors during the season. Able to rent watercraft nearby. Very shallow so kids can walk out quite a way.

This is a lovely park right on the Bay. There is a walkway over the busy highway for the campers to use but we come here and park near the beach for picnics overlooking the water.

So, who wants to pay top dollar to stay in Traverse City during the summer months?? This is a very affordable way to stay in Traverse City. We had no issues with the campground. There is an excellent meat market/deli very close to this park on the same side of the road.

Nice park. Great beach, water too cold for this fella, but lots of folks disagreed:) Lots of families were having a ball. Plenty of picnic tables etc... but the lake is attraction.
