A great lake to own a home on. The water is refreshing for swimming and it's popular with boaters. There's a public beach on Long Lake too. The drive around Long Lake is very pleasant.

Beautiful warm and shallow lake not far out of Traverse City. Great swimming for kids. Stop by Moomers for some ice cream after a day at the lake!

A decent enough area for the public beach. A bit difficult with kids because you need to cross a very busy street with all your beach stuff in tow. We brought our boat as there is a public launch site there, too. What a nightmare!...More
