Left Foot Charley is a winery like no other. In lieu of the single estate model, LFC is a collection of grape and apple growers located throughout Northern Michigan dedicated to growing fruit for our wine and cider. Located in the urban setting of the former Traverse City State Hospital campus known as The Village, LFC creates an array of balanced white wine, red wine, and hard cider. Every bottle tells the story of the farm, the vintage and the winemaker's dream of sharing it all with you.

A group of us came in for a hard cider tasting and really enjoyed it. We bought a bottle of the Cunning Ham to drink later. It's not as beautiful as some of the tasting spots, but its proximity to downtown is convenient.

You Must go to Left Foot Charley to try a Cinnamon Girl Cider if you get the chance! It is an amazing cider. I like all their ciders and a couple of their wines but Cinnamon Girl is the true winner here. Ask for Jessica,...More

The staff was super friendly, and very helpful as I tried a few ciders, finding the perfect cider! Would easily go back here again! Had so much fun celebrating with my friends and hanging out before heading home!

We love this place! Great wines and great snacks! Really love the location! My wife and Son and dog (Ruger) stopped by and had a tasting and a couple of glasses of wine. We also had some Lunch from Spanglish restaurant right beside. Excellent!

Finish your Flight with the Cinnamon Cider and you'll come back for a whole glass! I'm not a hard cider fan until now - this stuff is really good - we brought home a big box.

We stopped in to do a wine tasting and had a great time! The wines were very enjoyable and the Cinnamon Girl Cider (the only one we tried) was delicious. The Roots and Rock red blend was my favorite, but I also enjoyed the whites....More

Try the Roots & Rock red wine! It's a terrific dry blend. Despite the rainy weather, we managed to have some of their food including a great whitefish pate and a peppadew cheese & cracker combo and ALSO bring over some goodies from Spanglish. A...More

While there's food, this is more like a brew pub than a restaurant. Limited menu but a very helpful staff who will point you in the right direction for pairing ciders with what they have in their menu.
