Grand Traverse Distillery is Michigan's oldest craft distillery and we are family owned. We use 100% locally grown corn, wheat and rye to distill our award winning spirits which include the True North Vodkas [Rye, Wheat, Cherry, Chocolate & soon Chipotle], Gin, Rum and our Whiskies [Ole George 100% Rye, Bourbon, as well as many small batch specialty ones]. We offer 100 Proof Michigan White Dog Whiskey that is sold with mini barrels so a customer can come in make a purchase and age the whiskey at home in their own barrel. We have 5 Tasting Rooms located throughout the state in Traverse City, Frankenmuth, Leland and Grand Rapids so you can stop by and have the Grand Traverse Distillery experience and enjoy tastings and cocktails. We also have joint Tasting Rooms with Black Star Farms Winery where you will find both of our products and be able to taste and have a cocktail. Our Main Distillery Tasting Room is open Monday through Saturday 11-a.m. to 5:30-p.m and is closed Sundays. We offer tours 6 days a week at 1:00 pm & 3:00 pm from May 1 through August 31. October 1 through April 30 tours are offered only on Fridays and Saturdays. Cheers, Kent Rabish!

Stopped in on a whim and really enjoyed the visit. In addition to seeing the stills, we had multiple tastings and of course brought home a few bottles for the liquor cabinet.

Hello Glad you decided to stop in, a whim is all we need! We do rotate seasonal spirits and the Chocolate infused vodka just was bottled so should be in the tasting rooms very soon. Come back someday! Cheers Kent More

Heard about this distillery and the cherry vodka they offer. Went in to give it a try and was met by a friendly and gracious staff member who offered me a taste mixed with Lemonade. A must try if you are in the area.

I'm not a huge fan of distilled spirits, but Grand Traverse Distillery has a nice variety of spirits for you to try. The tour (a great deal for the money) was very informative for learning about the different processes used. Would definitely recommend it to people visiting the area. I love how everything is produced locally and they make sure... More

Hello Thanks for taking a chance and visiting us. Glad you did the tour, we enjoy showing off how we take local grain and end up with a spirit in the bottle. Grain to bottle. 100% of our rye, wheat and corn is grown on the Send Brothers Farms and we will always buy local. Cheers Kent More

Nice small distillery that produces vodka, gin, whiskey, and rum. Tour was informative and the spirits were yummy. Walked out with a bottle of vodka and whiskey. Tour and tasting was $10, but worth it.

Hello Anita Thanks for taking time to write a review and coming in for a tour and tasting. We have no plans to grow out of what we are and started nearly 10 years ago now. Local grain transformed into something tasty. Please come back again, we do have spirits that rotate so you most likely will see something new.... More

Stopped in the distillery for a tasting. Enjoyed tasting their Cherry vodka, bourbon, cherry whisky and rye whisky. Salesperson was very knowledgable and was patient in answering all my questions. Ended up buying a bottle of the bourbon and cherry vodka for the upcomming holidays.
