We stayed at the campground for a couple nights mid week in July. The campsites are available first come first serve (no reservations) so we were very lucky to come across the last lake side campsite when we arrived around noon on a Wednesday. As...More

We stopped at the beach and were amazed at all the rocks. We spent nearly an hour walking along looking through all the rocks and amazed at the colors!

Twelve Mile Beach has a very nice campground, which of course you must pay to use but would be well worth the price. The campground features 36 sites on a high sandy plateau above the beach and Lake Superior. There are three sets of stairs to...More

We've visited 12 mile beach multiple times and we've camped here twice, most recently this past week. The beach itself is isolated and unspoiled with lots of sand and cool Lake Superior rocks. Stable flies can be an issue in late June and July when...More

Hi, we did not camp. My suggestion would be to call Pictured Rocks Nat'l Lakeshore ranger station. Try Au Sable Ranger Station. Have Fun!
