It was a simple museum but I thought overall it was very informative. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not sure I would go again though.

Now, my family loves museums and all kinds generally have some appeal. We toured the River of History because we bought the combo package along with the Valley Camp and the Tower of History. There was no one else in this museum when we visited, which we found very odd as the Soo was full of summer tourists. There is... More

The museum has a great group of dedicated volunteers. They have put together a good representation of Sault Ste Marie, MI. I would encourage to put it on your "Must See" list if visiting Sault Ste. Marie.

This museum is not extensive, but it is informative. It will only take between one and two hours to review. There are many interesting displays as well as information on the native americans who originally occupied the region, the European explorers. and more recent settlers.

This is a small museum and does contain an abundance of information about the history of the area. The only complaints are many displays with text have very small type, located below eye level with poor illumination making it difficult to read. The audio wand was at time difficult to understand, and volume, at maximum, was hard to hear. It... More

The museum is small but provides history on the Sault Ste. Marie area. Great learning museum. The museum is small but contains a good deal of historical information. Consider buying a multiple attraction ticket if you are also visiting the Ship Valley Camp.

This is a very worthwhile exhibit with photos, paintings and articles from Sault Sainte Marie's historical past. Along with the museum exhibits, there is a very nice gift shop with many items to tempt the visitor.

My son, who goes to LSSU, walks by this museum all the time, so we decided to go last time we visited him. It is well worth a visit! A lot of local history, native history, and LSSU history in this museum. The head sets really help the exhibits come alive, and there are interactive things for kids. I really... More
