Our teens said the trails here are great, and they can't wait to go back. And we'll definitely join them next time. But, make sure you're in decent shape, because they said that once you get to the beach, it's a fairly steep descent and...More

We did the beach trail. So much fun. Very nice trail for all levels of fitness. And the bonus of the beach at the end was fabulous. Loved it.

Fun to walk out and visit. But be prepared for minimum of 30 in walk in. The walk it under lots of trees, so not so hot. Wind can we very strong. It was about 30-40 mph when we visited.

One of the smallest parks with sand dunes but perfect for short hikes that are lovely. Watch for bald eagles!!

I was surprised of the lack of care given to this wonderful park. The signage is lacking. The post were poorly marked and the trails are evident but the care to post signs you can read are old and faded out. This would not be...More

Great place to spend time on Lake Michigan and go hiking. They just renovated the pit toilets, but need to add some light, way too dark!! Great spot for the daytime. No camping.

Lake Michigan is ever changing but always fascinating! It is a stunning walk in any season. Cross-county ski trails are marked. Spring is green and lush with wildflowers. Autumn is my favorite with it's kaleidoscope of rich colors. Summer shade of foliage is a welcome...More

An enjoyable hike to the beach from the parking lot. Had the beach to ourselves. Clean sand and clean trails.

Anywhere except for the beach. Dogs are not allowed on the beach. They are allowed on the beautiful trails.

Yes there is. And you have to walk close to a mile to get to the beach.
Is there a restroom or portapotty at the beach? Is there a restroom near the parking area? Approximately how long will the walk be from the parking to the beach? Is there a fee to enter this state park?

There are pit toilets at the parking lot. I did not see any restrooms at the beach. The walk from parking lot to beach is 20 to 30 minutes depending on the trail you choose. There are hills which makes this a little more... More
