What a view. The family went up the mountain and just a few went out over the ledge to see the view. I myself, am not a fan of heights, so yes, I made the climb to the top, bad knee and all, but I could not make myself walk out on the platform. I could still see the view,... More

I've been here many, many times and it's always a pretty site. Go inside the gift shop to pay a $1/person and up the walkway you go. They do allow dogs inside the gift shop and up to the top. We've taken our shorkie with us on many occasions. We always ask, just in case, before bring her in, and... More

I have been to castle rock many times as a child, however, my family had not. It has not changed, which is the beauty of the trip. It is still a cheesy roadside attraction, and I love it! We climbed to the top. Some areas are steep. Wear good shoes and be in good shape!

This is a great place to get out of the car, stretch your legs, and scamper up a bunch of stairs for a rewarding view. Castle Rock is a classic tourist attraction with a classic gift shop full of all the classic souvenirs you could ever hope to buy. It's worth a stop, for sure, if only just to say... More

We stop here every year during our summer vacation. Fun to climb, a cheap attraction & they allow dogs! Great gift shop too. The view at the top of Castle Rock is well worth the climb!

We just happened to drive by and thought we would check it out. Nice gift store and only $1 charge to climb to the top of Castle Rock. I didn't realize I was so out of shape until I went on this walk! Lots of stairs, but so worth it! Incredible view!! I got a little nervous walking out there... More

I've been coming here since I was a kid, and it's still awesome. It's still only $1 to go up to Castle Rock too. This time I got to introduce my daughter and husband to this Michigan classic. The stairs were harder than I remember, but I am older and fatter now haha. They are still doable though, but just... More

This was a great view from high above the water and to see what nature can make without man and concrete. A lot of steps but not steep and well woth the time to enjoy the area.

Castle rock provided a great view of the area, I am not sure how high it is, but it is up there!! It is quite a walk up the steps, but worth it. Sweeping views of lake huron as well as the surrounding forest. It was really a fun thing to do, very inexpensive and there is a free coupon... More
