Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We decided to go the Berrinba Wetlands for a walk. It is a wonderful area with a rich history.
There are really nice picnic areas with bbqs as well as a nice kids playground.
We went down to the wetland areas and we saw lots of pelicans, and other water birds.
We walked around to the other side and were impressed with the way the place was set out with walking tracks and bike tracks as well as nice seating with great views.
Also loved the mechanical sculpture of the Osprey which moved its wings up and down as well as making their whistling call. So cool!

The well kept park is situated at an artificial lake which you can walk around in about an hour.
You can find picnic areas, barbecue (electric), a playground, toilets (including wheelchair toilets) and the area is used as a wedding location.
There are a number of walking tracks around the lake and you can have a picnic at the waterfront. You can find a map on the Logan City Council website.

If you are down or up this way call into the wetlands it is very scenic, relaxing as you watch the Pelicans glide across the water. There are public conveniences, BBQ facilities, table and bench seat under cover, heaps of grassy area to throw a picnic blanket down. If you decide to walk the whole circuit it is approx 5 k's on a paved path going through the bushland, on a warm day you will hear the cicadas or look closely and you will spot a few of them. Also, keep the eyes peeled open a good chance you might spot a Goanna on the ground or in a tree. Great place for little Kids, medium kids, big kids and yes even adult kids (that's why I like it) :)) Don't forget the camera for the great shots.

As with all of Logan this park is full of loud mouth islanders having BBQs and typically not cleaning up after themselves and leaving the area filthy. If it wasn't for that the park would be more enjoyable..

Gone to the Wetlands many times. There is a 2.5 kilometre walk around the lakes and also shorter walks with exercise equipment, play areas and toilets and bbqs. Yes there has been times I've been there where rubbish is all over the place, but that does not reflect upon the location at all. Disrespectful people are everywhere, and what is most important here is that there is a very large amount of birdlife including swans, eagles, pelicans and ducks, through to native animals, including possums, kangaroos, snakes and lizards that live in this corridor, so if you do go there, please remember to pick up your rubbish as these animals will get injured or sick from your waste left behind. There is also night security which I thought a pleasant surprise as my daughter and I do "night spotting" with torches around the lake looking for animals, so we feel very protected whilst there. Good work Logan, pity the industrial area is so close, as this is Prime Real Estate for huge houses with lake views.

I really enjoyed this park. It is large with a lot to see. I’d recommend checking out the map on the Logan City Council website so you know ahead of time what you want to do.
I parked on Wayne Goss Drive near the Interpretive Centre as there are toilets, parking and lunch areas there. I didn’t see parking at their fifth avenue entrance although it’s possible I missed it.
Definitely need water and food if you plan on being here a while (and sunscreen & insect repellent).
It is very clean and well maintained. It is a wild life refuge and caters for bird watching.

Great place to bring the dogs for a walk. Nice walking trails and they can stop and put their feet in the water. There are no shops so bringing water and food is a must.

Berrinba is a fantastic place for a picnic, Birthday parties, photography or just walking. The walking trail goes right around the wetland. There is lots of birdlife there so great photos are easy to get. There are toilets and covered picnic tables.

Is there enough parking for a large coach
Written 27 October 2019
I don't believe there are.designated areas for.coacjes but I have seen a number of semi trailers parked not far from there. You would have to check with the council, Logan City.
