It is a great zoo! So much to see! The zoo is clean and those working there are very knowledgeable and very helpful. We have been to a few special events and it has always been great!

They offer free admission for seniors twice during the year, including all rides free. There is also senior discount. Good for family fun. Lots of places to visit - need one full day.

Well maintained, beautiful area and animals, good infra structure. Wagon rentals cheaper than Toledo Zoo, indoor places with AC (better than Toledo Zoo) with 4D movies, rides (@ extra $$$).

As folks have said there are some indoor exhibits but you should know the Detroit Zoo was designed as a natural habitat so it is mostly outdoors. The good news is that as a supporting member I can come and go without paying... More

About 3-4 hours if you want to really see EVERYTHING, and have lunch as well! It of course can be longer if you like.
