We visited here frequently back when we lived down the road. Stopped in on our anniversary trip back to our old stomping grounds for a quick visit. Strolled the beautiful beach. Forested campground. Not busy which was fine with us. Great spot for a day...More

Beautiful wooded campground. Stopped in for a couple nights. Site next to beach path. Excellent park for bike riding. Rode to 40 Mile Lighthouse and also into Rogers City.

I always give this campground a great review, our family just returned from a 13 day trip to Hoeft. Always quiet, nice beach (water if very high right now however), friendly place. Needs upgrades in restrooms, but they are always clean. Very family friendly, we...More

I am a single gal traveling alone with her puppy. We have done a tour of Michigan State Parks this last 2 weeks- so far: Sterling, Brighton, Orchard Beach, and Burt Lake. This one takes the cake! The sights are in the woods- and not...More

Camped here for 5 nights and loved it. I haven't been here in the Rogers City area in about 40 years when I was a single digit age. The campground has many good features although the drainage on some of the campsites isn't too good...More

We stopped for an hour to check to see if we'd like to camp here. As with most state parks (excluding state forest campgrounds), the camping is crowded. The day use area has bbq grills and a lovely beach area. The view is stunning. Check...More

This hidden gem of a campground is a quiet place you can get a campsite without reservations 6 month ahead of time. Beautiful beach in the campground on Lake Huron. If you exit the campground and go East towards Rogers City there is 2 miles...More

We visited on probably the prettiest day ever....but this place would be beautiful on a bad day. We only stayed a moment, but we want to come back. There is something about the paths, the beach and the peacefulness. There were lots of both sand...More

We traveled to Hoeft State Park for the first time this weekend. Our first impression was that the camp site was small but once we set up our large 8 person tent and 2 person gen for our big kids, we realized we had plenty...More

I suggest calling the park directly. The website shows dimensions for each individual campsite but it would be a tedious process to review them all

The bike trail goes north to 40 mile point lighthouse and south to Rogers City. I'm not aware of a trail that goes to Ocqueoc Falls

We got here yesterday at check-in time and as of yet have not been bothered by Mosquitoes or Black flies. Then too we haven't spent any time at the beach yet. Last year the black flies chased us off the beach.
