The sign at the lighthouse stated it was open from 9 to 5pm. We arrived at 4:30pm. Two other cars arrived about the same time. One was from Texas, we were from NC, GA, and MA. We were not happy after driving so far. Looking...More

If you didn't know beforehand that this lighthouse is the tallest on Lake Huron and one of the tallest in Michigan, the crick in your neck as you crane your head skyward quickly clues you in. It's immediately apparent as soon as it comes into...More

This is one of two lighthouses in Presque Isle. It's a bit of a climb up to the top but the view out over the lake is worth it. Nice gift shop.

They have 2 light houses in the area to visit. Very interesting historical information. If in the area it worth the stop. Will go back

This visit should be in the Summer. It's too cold the rest of the year. You won't have cell service there, but you can get internet at the McDonald's in Alpena, 23 miles away.
