Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Penn Theatre is located on Kellogg Park in beautiful DTP (Downtown Plymouth). The Marquee is beautiful and the place is run by folks who love and want to sustain the place. Tickets are only $3, the popcorn is top notch and the seats are comfy.

Wonderfully restored historic movie house in downtown Plymouth. As a no -profit, tickets are very reasonably priced around $3 and popcorn is $1! Great for families.

Great little theater in DTP. Cash only tickets and snacks. Fun to get out with the wife and/or kids to see a movie on the big screen without the exorbitant cost. Sign up for the email list and get a heads up as to what's coming to the Penn. Make a whole night of it, do dinner downtown and then hit a flick for $3 a ticket.

We went to see a movie at the Penn Theater and had a great time. The tickets are only $3 pp and the seats are very comfortable. The staff managed a full theater very professionally.

Love going to this theater. 3 dollar tickets, a devoted volunteer staff and decent snacks. Yeah, I know they do not have reserved leather high back seats with vibrating and heat functions, no alcohol, and not a fancy decor but it does have a certain charm and a aura of a slower paced time. They show current movies and yes, sometimes they are sold out, but that can happen at any theater, whether you drive 5 minutes or 45 minutes. This is a go to place in my book.

In October, I have been viewing classic films at the Penn as part of the Shocktober theme. The theater itself is a wonderful blast from the past down to the films and the theater popped popcorn and confectionaries. These films have been shown on Thursday evening. The weekends have the first run films. The cost for the October classic films have been $3.00. I have never had a bad time or unpleasant experience there. Although most people I believe do not know each other- it almost seems like a club of theater-goers who love films. I highly recommend this place.

Love walking up town to the Penn for a great movie! They play some great shows and it’s only $3 a show. We like to go up town for dinner and then walk over for a show. There is the typical candy and popcorn and you can afford it with the price of the tickets😊 The theater is quaint and clean and a great way to take in a movie 🎥 🍿 with a small town atmosphere.

I love the Penn Theatre because it has great movies for a reasonable price. It also has old time concession stand with "retro" candy and ticket booth. I have always had a great time there. I've been going for the last 38 years. Going brings back to me great memories.
