We were here on a chilly October day, but did enjoy the lake front park. There are trails in the park and of course, the Petoskey stones.

This is a great park and different types of sites although not as many for large rigs.Lots of trees and great access to the bike path.

The park is beautiful however, be warned that it closes at the end of August when school returns so the beach is open but there are no services like food or drink. The change areas and bathrooms are open.

The largest stretch of public access beach on Little Traverse Bay. An amazing beach with excellent restroom facilities. With the prevailing winds, the water here is often 5-10 degrees warmer than at the Harbor Springs beach.

This is a fairly busy state park in the summer. Lots of biking trails and nice hiking trails. Close to downtown Petoskey.

Petoskey state park is a great place for camping (tent or camper). It is also a great destination for a day trip to the beach. Beautiful beach with picnic tables. Nice trails to explore around the park too! Camping here you feel like you're in a remote location, yet you're 10 minutes from Petoskey and Harbor Springs.

Off season is probably the best season to walk the beach here. The crowds in the summer can be off putting, and the water can be clear as crystal but can also be full of detritus and algae along the most popular swimming beaches, whcih can be a disappointment. It's unfortunate that they close the tent camping area so early...... More
