We spent the afternoon here. The concession stand isn’t much. The beach has quite a bit of rocks & debris making it hard to walk barefoot but the views are gorgeous. Plenty of parking options and lots of trash cans help keep it from seeming...More

Stopped here after lunch and some quick shopping downtown. A short drive from downtown via 31, even with the Summer traffic. Another great Lake Michigan beach via a state park. Not too crowded (visit was a Monday afternoon around 2pm), found a parking spot, changed...More

I was impressed that the Beach had a white ramp all the way to the water, as well as handicap parking . It is a nice sandy beach with small stones , the water was cold, but there were swimmers in on the 4th of...More

I love this place. It's beautiful. I try to go in the off-season to avoid other people. The beach is awesome.

Visited here in June with family and had a great time at the park, which is beautiful. While the water was quite cold (it hurt to put our feet in), the beach was beautiful. The kids enjoyed playing in the sand and climbing up and...More

We spent the Fourth of July at Petoskey State Park and watched the fireworks from the beach. It was the perfect location as you could see the fireworks from both Harbor Springs and Petoskey. The DNR personnel were very friendly and helpful, the beach was...More

We didn’t camp or use the beach at the park, but came just to spend a few hours hiking. The moderately difficult trails gave us just the challenge we needed! Some pretty steep uphill climbs and then downhill ascents. The easy trails were just that,...More

Campgrounds were clean and beautiful. Most sites had trees and brush between them, offering privacy. Bathrooms and showers were clean. The beach was gorgeous! Take your kayaks for Lake Michigan or Round Lake. There is also a beautiful bike trail that you can catch right...More

This is,absolutely my favorite freshwater beach! The waves are good almost everyday; on windy days they are amazing. Definitely a beach for families. Parents remember to watch little ones while in or near the water, it is one of the Great Lakes.

I don’t think so. They aren’t very big at this park.
