This is our first stop on vacation and worth the look. There are three hundred steps down which means three hundred up, so pace yourself and don't forget the bug spray. At the bottom you will find the spring and walkways to many beautiful views....More

Iargo Springs is beautiful and a great destination for a day trip. We loved checking out the beautiful springs and ventured along to a hike to Canoers Memorial and back to Iargo. There are beautiful points that overlook Cooke Lake. The kids enjoyed and we...More

The springs are peaceful and beautiful. We happened to be the only ones there when we went. Sitting by the water listening while we ate our lunch.

Beautiful! It's a great place to see if you have some time to look around. My family visited this site on vacation. We made the hike down, stairs are all wooden, but in good shape. There is plenty of resting spots along the way if...More

I always picture the area as flatter, but the view from here and the number of stairs reminds you that there are some hills. Nice spot to relax and take in nature. Worth the trip. As others have noted, take your time and enjoy the...More

If you thought the stairs at nearby Lumberman's Monument were bad, prepare yourself...there are even more at Iargo Springs: 294 to Lumberman's 272, to be exact. Easy enough on the way down, but quite the workout on the way up, especially that first long, unbroken...More

Beautiful views of the AuSable river valley from the top of the valley, and very pretty setting down where the springs come out of the side of the hill. This is a strenuous walk down the stairs, but is well worth it.

If you like steps nice place to go. You will have to walk them down to get to the bottom. But once down there it is beautiful.

The springs are not conducive to swimming. The ponds are small and shallow. Visitors are supposed to stay on the boardwalk. There is a great beach on Lake Huron in nearby Alpena.
