We got here early in the morning, and were the first here. There are quite a lot of stairs to climb, and the width of the stairwell is narrow. I don't know how busy this area gets or how many people should be at the...More

I tend to be afraid of heights, but the view was worth the discomfort! The stairs are sturdy and well spaced for climbing, but i wish there were less of them to climb!

Initially, I was worried about the uphill climb, but benches were placed all along the path to rest. The boardwalk after the climb made it easier. Going to the top of the tower is a must after you catch your breath. The views are stunning.

The trail is nice and it seems like more than a half mile to get to the top, many steps involved but worth the view. There were other trails along the way that did not seem to be marked very well, to explain where they...More

We were pretty well conditioned to stairs/climbing by this point in our tour around the UP, so this walk up wasn't too bad. The tower is definitely high up there and affords some amazing views.

This is a great little hike if you're willing to do a little climbing! It's only half a mile in, with steps at the steepest part near the end, all shaded until you get to the tower---and the view from the top is a full...More

You must take the time to climb to the top of the Overlook here. The views are worth it! It is a 360 degree view.

This is quite the stair climb. But the views are spectacular. Use caution with the steps. Also quite a hike/stair climb to this area.

50-60 is accurate for the tower; I'm going to say it's more like over 100 steps for the upper section of the trail. I didn't personally count, but someone coming down told us they'd been counting and the number they... More
